Top International BCI Academic Conference to Be Held in Asia for the First Time

July 24, 2024 (Redwood City, USA) – The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (TCCl) and the BCI Society announced today the BCI Society & Chen Institute Joint BCI Meeting, which will be held in Shanghai, China on December 6 – 7 this year, marking the first time that the world’s top academic conference in the field of brain-computer interfaces will be held in Asia 25 years after its inception.

During the conference, in addition to keynote speeches and roundtable discussions, there will be a forum for young Chinese scientists, interactive sessions such as the popular breakfast and luncheon sessions at BCI Society conferences, as well as lab visits and closed-door exchanges, providing attendees with a wealth of networking opportunities. The conference is open for registration – scientists and private sector members, in neuroscience, clinical, artificial intelligence, data, new materials, integrated circuits and other related specialties are welcome to attend.

The Brain-Computer Interface Society (BCI Society) is the most influential brain-computer interface academic organization in the world, and its flagship event, the International BCI Meeting, has become a benchmark academic conference in the field since it was first held in New York in 1999. The 10th BCI Meeting was held in Brussels, Belgium in 2023 and attracted nearly 500 scientists from 237 laboratories in 39 countries and regions around the world.
