Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Translational Research develops “Shanghai Cognitive Impairment Services Map” with the Shanghai Centers for Disease Control

Innovative Online Tool Will Help Those Seeking Treatment Find Nearest and Most Appropriate Treatment Centers

Shanghai. Dec 2, 2019. The Shanghai Cognitive Impairment Services Map, developed by the Shanghai Centers for Disease Control in conjunction with the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute for Translational Research (TCCI®) and the Shanghai Mental Health Center, is now online.

China’s first such project, the online tool will help those affected by cognitive impairment find the best and nearest treatment centers.

The map consolidates a variety of relevant websites and apps and includes information on hundreds of Shanghai hospitals, community health centers, cognitive care clinics for elder care institutions, and more than 3,000 care beds. Serving more than 800,000 cognitively impaired patients and six million elderly people, the map allows users to easily identify where various cognitive impairment clinics are located and what services they offer, thus enabling them to get the best treatment in a timely manner.

TCCI® researcher Professor YanYan Huang, Deputy Director of the Geriatrics Department at Huashan Hospital, was directly involved in the collaboration with the Shanghai Centers for Disease Control for this project.
