Chen Institute Brain & Mind Lecture: Our Minds on VR

Please join us virtually for the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute Brain & Mind Lecture – Our Minds on VR

Tuesday, February 13 | 7pm -8 pm PT – Virtual, hosted by the California Academy of Sciences

TCCI is proud to support the following event: Virtual reality has the potential to blur the line between reality and illusion, granting us access to otherwise inaccessible experiences. While often associated with entertainment and escapism, VR has the potential to impact so much more—perhaps even deepening empathy and changing peoples’ attitudes toward environmental and social issues.

Jeremy Bailenson, founding director of Stanford University’s Virtual Human Interaction Lab, will explore the strengths and pitfalls of VR and illuminate the cognitive activities engaged in a VR experience.
